Tweed River Vessel offers a unique on-water filming platform set within the diverse natural landscapes of the Tweed region. Operating along the calm waterways of the Tweed River, the location provides production teams with multiple vessel options and access to a wide range of scenic backdrops while maintaining the flexibility of a mobile filming environment.

Surrounded by mangroves, wetlands and subtropical rainforest, the Tweed River delivers remarkable visual diversity within a compact footprint. From wide open river systems to lush hinterland farmland and rolling hills, productions can capture multiple natural environments within a single shoot day. Coastal locations are also just minutes away, expanding the variety of nearby filming options.

VIP1 is a smaller charter vessel ideal for scouting, filming set-ups and focused production work. With exclusive use for up to 30 people, the vessel’s shallow draft allows it to navigate smaller creeks and low depth waterways not accessible by larger boats. The layout includes bench seating and picnic style tables that can be removed for filming, onboard toilet facilities, a BBQ area and basic audio connectivity. VIP1 can dock at beaches and jetties along the river, offering flexible access for shoreline filming, intimate interview shoots, behind-the-scenes content or as a movable staging area for water-based scenes.

The Golden Swan is a larger vintage style river cruiser that brings a classic and elegant aesthetic to productions. Traditionally used for scenic and lunch cruises, the vessel accommodates up to 70 passengers and offers elevated upper deck vantage points ideal for wide river shots, landscape filming and aerial captures from the deck. Its design suits documentary storytelling, tourism campaigns and productions exploring the ecology and culture of the Tweed region. Stable boarding ramps and accessible lower deck seating also support inclusive filming environments.

The BBQ Boat provides a relaxed, self drive filming platform for up to eight passengers. Easy to operate and not requiring a boat licence, it allows small crews to move along calm sections of the river at their own pace. Its compact, low profile design is well suited to intimate river channels and scenic backdrops, capturing authentic on water moments without the scale of a larger cruiser.

Tweed Marina can also be used as a filming location and staging base. The marina offers a versatile waterfront environment combining working harbour functionality with relaxed coastal aesthetics. Reflective river surfaces, nautical sheds and soft natural light create a distinctly Northern NSW visual tone, particularly striking during golden hour. The marina also allows for efficient vessel access, crew staging, equipment loading and water-to-land transitions.
