Te property comprises two sensitively restored historic cottages, each with its own distinct identity and visual language. The Reader’s Cottage is warm, textured and filled with collected antiquities from around the world. Anchored by an impressive floor-to-ceiling bookcase, the interiors offer depth and detail at every turn. A queen bedroom, additional single room, full kitchen, spa bathroom and gas fireplace provide both functionality and comfort, while the adjoining stone-walled courtyard opens onto a horse paddock, adding a rustic, pastoral element to the setting. An outdoor fire pit, stocked with timber from the property, creates a natural gathering point ideal for lifestyle and storytelling scenes.
The Writer’s Studio offers a more intimate, contemplative space. Designed as a one-room retreat, it features an antique writing desk overlooking stone-paved gardens and water features. A queen bed and original open fireplace sit beneath a canopy of 100-year-old maple trees, creating a peaceful and visually poetic environment. The surrounding gardens, with their water features and seating areas, provide additional layers for filming and photography.
