The Space
This mid-century masterpiece designed in 1967 is an Alistair Knox original which has been passionately restored to preserve the home’s original features. True to Knox’s philosophy of utilising local skills and materials, the house was built using Brunswick bricks and Tasmanian oak, with Oregon beams. With an immense amount of natural light, this location is surrounded by mature trees which gives you the feeling that you are in the middle of the bush, whilst being very connected to everything.
The living room features clerestory windows on all four sides, where the ever-changing natural light and shadows dance across the walls during the day and at night you can see the stars and moonlight flooding in. The moment you walk in you feel a sense of calm with the beautiful use of timber, cork floors and French Green painted walls. The interiors have been applied with flair, with a selection of complementary mid-century furniture and art enhancing the home’s warm and welcoming atmosphere. This beautifully curated location is a perfectly original backdrop to complement your next creative project.
